We Built A-Line to Keep Abortion Online

In response to the growing and increasingly sophisticated digital threats facing abortion activists and organizations, Women on Web created The A-Line in partnership with eQualitie.

The A-Line provides technology solutions, digital resilience strategies, and anti-censorship support to help reproductive justice organizations navigate website blocking, cyberattacks, and the suppression of abortion-related content on search engines and social media platforms.

As a project of Women on Web, the A-Line leverages our team’s unique experience and expertise navigating similar threats since 2005. As a global online abortion service, Women on Web has confronted a plethora of digital threats and developed strategies, tactics, advocacy campaigns, and global partnerships at the nexus of reproductive and digital rights movements to address efforts to take abortion information and care offline.

The A-Line Portal allows any activist or organization to submit a request for help. Through access to secure hosting infrastructure, website protection, and bespoke technical solutions, the A-Line works to ensure that online abortion information and services remain visible and accessible.

The A-Line supports activists and organizations around the world to access tools and resources to keep abortion online.
