This report by Women on Web (WoW) and Open Observatory of Network Interference (OONI) investigates how governments and networks around the world are restricting access to online abortion information and care services. Drawing on OONI network measurement data collected between November 2025 and April 2026, the report documents the blocking of Women on Web domains in Iran, Türkiye, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain, Kuwait and Argentina, alongside additional corporate firewall restrictions in Poland, Kenya, Pakistan, and Georgia.
The findings reveal a growing pattern of digital censorship targeting reproductive health information, which has immense human rights impacts on abortion seekers who cannot access care. The report also highlights Women on Web’s efforts to circumvent censorship and build digital resilience through anti-censorship tactics and infrastructure, strategic litigation, and collaborative technology initiatives such as The A-Line, which supports abortion activists and providers in staying protected and visible online.
