No. Los ultrasonidos no son necesarios antes de usar las pastillas abortivas. La mayoría de las personas puede estimar por su cuenta cuántas semanas de embarazo tiene. No se necesita un ultrasonido para hacerlo.
Recomendamos hacer un ultrasonido en algunos casos, como cuando:
- Tus últimos 3 ciclos menstruales ha sido irregulares.
- Estás amamantando o lactando y aún no ha regresado tu menstruación.
- Has estado usando anticonceptivos hormonales. Esto incluye la píldora anticonceptiva, el parche, el anillo, la inyección, el implante y el dispositivo intrauterino (DIU) hormonal.
- Tienes síntomas de un embarazo ectópico.
Los ultrasonidos antes de un aborto con pastillas pueden darle tranquilidad a algunas personas. Si ese es tu caso, es completamente válido hacerte uno.
