Trans Families and families-to-be

 

A short film on trans parenting in North America today. It has been translated into French, Latin American Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian and Japanese. This short film has been turned into documentary entitled Transgender Parents.

 

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans-identified (LGBT) Family Coalition advocates for the legal and social recognition of LGBT families. They are a group of LGBT parents and future parents exchanging information, sharing resources with a number of guides LGBT families.

 

The LGBTQ Parenting Network is a program of Sherbourne Health Centre. They support lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer parenting through training, research, resource development and community organizing. They work with individuals, organizations, and communities from the local to the international. The ‘Trans Parenting’ portion of their website includes a section on the Trans Family Law project and the Transforming Family project report, a community-based research project about trans people’s parenting experiences.
