I had my first abortion. The experience was very difficult. I went back and forth with my decision but I knew that it was the right thing to do. Everything was emotional, from waiting in the clinic to have my ultrasound to taking the pills. The pain was excruciating and somewhat felt like what I assume labor feels like. I’m relieved that I’m no longer in pain but I grieve for what’s not in me . I never thought I would get pregnant and it happened out of nowhere. As my body healed, I’ve gone through so many emotions. But I know that I’ll have another chance when the time is right. Everything will be okay.

It was very painful. I had painful cramps and heavy bleeding for one week that tapered off as time went by.
