Martynka needs your support: Our Ukraine fundraiser is prolonged due to urgent need

Dear friends and colleagues,

We are extending our fundraiser to support the Ukrainian organization Martynka due to the urgent need for assistance in response to a recent surge in violence against women in Poland.

Last month, the tragic assault and murder of Liza in Warsaw shocked us all. Liza, fleeing her home country, fell victim to a brutal attack, highlighting the alarming increase in violence in Poland. This incident is not an isolated case, as Martynka has been inundated with requests for help from victims of human trafficking and violent assaults.

Martynka, facing closure due to financial constraints, urgently requires our support to aid these victims. Martynka is a female-led Ukrainian grassroots organization based in Poland, that provides crucial assistance to Ukrainian evacuees, including access to abortion, emergency contraception, safe accommodation, and comprehensive informational, legal, and psychological support for issues such as human trafficking and sexual violence.

Partnering with Women on Web, Martynka aims to ensure Ukrainian refugees receive essential care and support, especially as the crisis in Ukraine fades from headlines but remains a pressing reality for those affected.
