中絶薬は妊娠期間中いつでも高い効果を発揮します。
妊娠初期なら、ミフェプリストンとミソプロストールを併用した場合、中絶の成功率は約99%です。ミソプロストールだけを服用して中絶する場合も、薬は非常に効果的で、中絶の成功率は94~97%です。
