حبوبُ الإجهاض فعّالةٌ للغاية طوال فترة الحمل.
في الثلث الأوّل من الحمل، تبلغ معدلات النجاح نحو ٪٩٩ عند استخدام الميفيبريستون والميزوبروستول معًا. كما أن الميزوبروستول وحده فعّال جدًا، إذ تتراوح معدلات النجاح بين ٪٩٤-٩٧٪.
