A vaccuum aspiration has to be done by a trained healthcare provider. Record 10,000 have home abortions in England

The British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) said nearly a third of the
32,000 terminations it provided to women in the first nine weeks of
pregnancy had involved the abortion pill, also known as EMA - early
medical abortion. Research by the Department of Health has found it is safe, and
supporters say it can provide greater comfort and privacy.
