I told a couple of close friends of mine. They encouraged me as I was sure of what I was doing.
Type of abortion: in a clinic or hospital with surgery
Actually my experience was not completely positive, as I felt there's still a lot of resistance against abortion though it's legal in my country and I went to a hospital to do it.
Reason for abortion: my age (too young or old), problems with my relationship, my personal reasons for not wanting a child
I was a young student and didn't have a stable job; I was at the beginning of a new relationship that ended in a few months.
Feelings about abortion: relieved, ashamed, sure, guilty, afraid
After all this time, I have no doubt I took the right decision. But sometimes when I think about my experience, I feel ashamed and afraid of how people could judge me.
